You haven’t found your luck yet
I don’t think it comes as a surprise that we do love our hardcore at Whatwearetalkingabout. And we do like new bands from Germany too. Last year Jungbluth released one of our favorite local hardcore albums. A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across a great demo by Berlin band Morla!

Morla also have another band in Henry Fonda who might ring a bell for fans of metal infused powerviolence. But on their debut demo, Morla offer a mix of screamo and hints of youth crew hardcore (listen to hand/hvnt). The 8 songs barely break the 2 minute mark. The vocals are intense, bitter and emotional. The guitars caw, the bass rumbles and the drums are produced clean enough to form the rhythmic base that keeps the whole thing together. If you like mosh parts, you’ll get them. If you like straight forward parts, you’ll get them. If you want to dance around your room fistpumping, you can do so. If you want to scream all your pains out of your window, you can do so.
“Nur Einmal” isn’t a groundbreaking record. But it’s a really good one. If you were a fan of Just Went Black, you should definitely check these guys out!
